Game Keeps Crashing!

My friend just recently got the game. She can't play it because when she opens it, before anything shows on the screen, the game just crashes. She said she downloaded everything, and followed the directions, but still the game crashes. Help?

It's not the server. She can't even make a map or preset. The game crashes before the title screen comes up.

mine won't let me do anything. I can log in and pick my character but then it crashes afterwards

Does a memory box or something like that come up before it crashes?
