another way to fic the problem is copying and pasting the original height map in a new 513.513 grayscale map and giving it a whole different name. this fixes my problems sometimes

Heightmaps must be

png image
grayscale
513x513

and if using GIMP this is IMPORTANT!!!

Right click on your image layer in gimp and  REMOVE ALPHA CHANNEL~
