Particle Problem.
« on: February 10, 2012, 05:45:11 am »
Hey, guys.
So, I'm making my first map today, which is pretty exciting- sort of. Not really. A little bit?
Anyways, so, I haven't had any trouble at all- until I tried to put in some glow bugs. The fiel type of the glow bugs is a 'particle', and when I try and load it into the Object Maker FH just kind of....Dies. The screen goes grey, and then I have to exit out and back in for it to work again.
Anyways, does anyone else get this? Is there a way to resolve it? I REALLY want those darn glow bugs, so if you can get back to me ASAP that would be so nice.  ; ~ ;

Thank-you in advance, everyone. ~

I... believe. I think that you have to go into the effect maker within the object maker. I believe that you load it there and it should work. The button for that is located under the "Map" tab in the regular object maker.

Again, I'm not so sure about that. However, it is what I can offer.

That.... is a very good question. Erm.... try loading it into your regular object maker again, after you've done that in the effect maker? Or... maybe you can just go straight to the map maker?

<--- hasn't used particles in ages xD

Heheh. Well. I believe that it is all I can offer... can you go back to the main object maker and save it like that? In other words load it, click object maker, and then try and save like you would anything else?

You save it the usual way you would save a object I beleive, in the object maker, and be careful not to put it in one of the default object folders, someone did that for a map they made me and the map was empty. Then you can just place it in your map. But I could be wrong, it has been a while for me too.
