How can I make particles? Or at least transparent objects...

I really need to make some floating text particles, but I don't know how...
I seached the forum but I couldn't find anything helpful.

All I want to do is something pretty simple, completely static. Some floating text, with transparent background and glowing letters. (The part of actually glowing is not necessary if it makes the thing complicated. I can make it glowy-like in photoshop.)

Hmm, i dont know about a floating text particle but you can make a particle ring or something with a text flying around the place.
As for the object, IW had a see through board with text on it, i can search through the files and try find it for you. Otherwise i can try make one for you
