make me a map? i have no idea how to make one, ive read the tutorial back to front, but can't make sense of it! thanks!

Dont worry this is the right place to post this.

What dont you understand? Are you trying to make a heightmap? Are you completely new at using Map Maker, dont know what button does what?

Any map you make can be given to your group whether its flat or a heightmap. A heightmap is a map that isnt flat land. It has hills, rivers, ponds and all sorts.
To make a heightmap you need to have a program that would let you switch between Greyscale and RGB mode. If your unsure you can try downloading GIMP, its free and you can switch between the two modes.

But before i tell you about that do you know what some of the options do in Map Maker? Have you used Map Maker before without trouble?

i have used map maker before, and i understood parts of it. i dont get the terrain textures, the sky maker and the ocean bit. alos how you make objects.

For the terrain textures your basically just changing that African Grass texture to something else. If you know how to make a mask you can use more than one. In the Terrain Textures box theres a list of the textures available, click one and the ground will change.

The ocean is the water. It just fills up any holes/ditches and other low land. If your maps flat than its gonna fill the whole place up, if you create a heightmap you can make lower land where the water will fill. You can also go to the Objects tab and click New Water then a movable water object will appear at your cursor.

For the objects well, if you mean making something without the Feralheart default objects than you need a program that would let you create 3D objects.

Blender is a free program that does that and theres a tutorial for it.
