An odd situation I cant find in the help section..

Well, I have spent over an hour on the big help thread and I cannot find a solution to my problem. I am about to re-install the game because "that's what Windows says to do..." it says part of it is missing or something. So, I had looked in the help section like I said, an the black screen is what I have, except I can see and do everything except I have no background, its all black.. Keep in mind my computer is quite new, not even a year old, and is fully updated. I can see my character Zari and she can run an all, but there is noting to run TO or ON. I have a screenshot and I will post that in a minute. Umm.... Yep. I'm not sure if I am leaving out any info, but please please, please contact me here or by message with some help! I really want to play this severely awesome game! <3

-- EDIT: Err.. It is calling me Tiffani... you know, its my name, but in the sign up thing it said NAME, so I put my name.. I guess it meant USERNAME, not REAL NAME. Oh.. Is there any way to change it or do I just have to leave it..? c:

The black thing?I believe you have to change your rendering subsystem. go into options, then click the video tab, and select the rendering subsystem that isn't already selected, and see if that changes anything.

You can change it for the forum, but I believe in game it will stay the same unless you make a new account or have an admin change it for you.

Ouka, I have done that and it says that the program cannot be found or something like that. I will try again but I am not sure if it will work...

Its what Kyu said as well, its just reds explanation of it. Its just the rendering system, a file you edit on FH. Opens up with notepad

The program can't start because d3dx9_42.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Well.... I already reinstalled it! Urg.

Kyu, I tried that too, ad the same thing as above. It will let me play the game, but the stupid black screen will come up. I can't seem to find my screen-shots, but when I do I will get them for you to see..

Did you download a new installer when you reinstalled? Sometimes it is the installers fault that issues pop up, because things can go wrong when downloading. when reinstalling, it is always best to download a new installer as well, delete the FeralHeart folder as well, because just uninstalling doesn't get rid of all the old files either.

Kyu, Im not quite sure what you mean by installer... usually I am fluent in computer, but this most likely simple thing has escaped my mind at the moment.. Anyway, here is the couple screenshots showing what I am doing and what is happening. c:









Sorry, a couple of them are out of order. The white screen one is what the game looks lie when i try and open it after the message of doom pops up. I can get it to work by clicking on the screen a couple times, and them it boots up. c:
