Lots of people have been messaging me about this topic, they cannot stop full screen from coming up instead of the small screen. All you need to do is pull up your feralheart(fullscreen) and go to options-interface-fullscreen and uncheck the box. Quit and pull it back up again. That should leave you with a smaller box of feralheart. Hope this helps
