Run cycle glitch?

Ok, whenever I hit "W" to run the opposite way, it just makes my wolf walk backwards. And when I try to run to the left or the right, it just turns him in that direction.

All so you might want to check that your hot keys are set right as well. While in game hit ESC and go in your Options then Controls. You can reset your walking stats there.
