Objects downloaded aren't appearing in object maker?
« on: April 30, 2012, 12:22:08 am »
Hello! I've followed the tutorial word by word, and put the meshes in the My_Object file. I put the materials in the Materials folder and everything! But in Object maker, when I click Add New, it doesn't show. It doesn't say "blahblah.mesh not found!" I don't know whats wrong. It just wont show :(

Did you restart the game after you put them in?

Put the meshes in the feralheart/media/models folder. Type in (Case sensitive) [Yourmesh].mesh   . Do not forget the .mesh at the end or it will not work. When you click add new it should be able to draw up that mesh if it is in the correct folder and has the correct case and file extension.

Hope this helps!

Awe :( Thanks guys, but none of these are working! When I click add new, it does what it should, but it just doesn't show. Grr.

What do you mean it doesn't show? You mean in-game? May need to make new groupz.

You have to create custom groups for your own meshes. Do not ever place them in the groups that come with the gamez. Make custom groups and you'll be fine, Thunderstar.

No. When I mean they won't show, they won't show in object maker.

Which objects are these?
Link?
I can take a look at them and see if they work if you'd like.

If it doesn't give an error, that probably means it worked. Why you don't see it may because you placed a mesh that, because not being oriented to game setting may be beneath the ground or be really tiny. (These two things have repetitively happened to me)
