I don't know wether this really qualifies as a problem, but I'm kinda desperate: when I move the mouse in the game, the mouse moves like ages after I've moved my hand, wich means I have to wait for ages and positioning the mouse where I want it to be becomes seriousily tricky! Can you help?

This means you have a lot of lag.

Try closing down other tabs, and also press Esc in-game, then go to Options, click the tab saying "Video", scroll down to the last two options, click the "Water Reflection" and uncheck the box, and then go to "View Distance" and pull the slider down to 0. That ought to help a bit.

Also try to avoid largely populated areas, as lots of characters in the same place can cause a lot of lag.

You can't entirely get rid of lag, as I've found, but you can find get rid of it a little.
Hope this helps. c:

In addition to what Necroo has already stated, changing your rendering subsystem in the video tab of the options menu could possibly diminish some lag.
