I just downloaded the game today. I was online playing with my friend, then when I tried following her into the plains, it said 'Bad Token'. When I tried to log in and play again, it told me 'Unable to connect to map server. Try again?'. I asked my friend if she was having the same problem and she said it was working just fine.

That's because you're attempting to enter the plains during a busy hour. Just keep trying, you'll get in eventually.
