It's because you're trying to get into the plains when the server's full up. Make a new character, avoid the plains, you'll be able to play.
Or keep trying, I assume you're getting a "failed to connect to front server'' and a few bad tokens, so either you can keep trying to fight your way in, or avoid that map until the user number at the top of the forums has dropped to about 500-600.
