Map help... again..
« on: May 13, 2012, 05:00:27 pm »
Okay, thanks for even taking the time to look at this, I'm probably annoying you awesome people with all my errors, but I made a map, the heightmap works fine, but when I load the mask ((513x513 and RGB)), part of the map stays on African Grass, then the rest is striped black, almost as if you lost the texture to an object. What am i doing wrong?

Well, this may be a stupid answer-question, but have you actually added other textures in to the different colours on your mask? Y'know, African Grass for one, sand or something for 2, and rock or something for 3, etc.? Sounds to me like you've just not added in any other grass/sand/rock textures. I may be totally wrong, though, and have misunderstood. o3o

As well as Christian, I don't quite understand the full issue. This may have happened because you just didn't define the other textures.

When u add a mask each layer now is set to black except first one which is african grass.  To change it from black ~ Go to your World Tab, and you will see Terrain Texture and itll be set to African grass, next to the name Terrain Texture will be a arrow with a 1 near it. Click that and itll put u to ur next layer, as is set as black u may now choose to set it to another texture. :)

Think what you're saying is it goes yellow and black yes? This means your RGB colours are overlapping, need to make sure they do not have any other colours but the pure ones.
