Preset problems...
« on: May 16, 2012, 09:23:23 pm »
I've NEVER had problems with preset in the past, at all. Well, I'm trying to make a preset of my cat at the moment, for my Warrior Cat RP, and I've run into some trouble. I've named it all the right things, and the images are PNG. I was hoping somebody with perhaps 'join.me' could lend me a paw? Help would be VERY much appreciated. :3

I could probably help.  What's the problem exactly.  I don't have join.me, but I'll explain it to a tee. ;D

Alright, thanks. ^^ What I get whenevver I go to the 'PReset MAker' is that yellow and black stuff, not the preset itself.

Alright.  First off, have you made sure that the name that you saved your pictures as is the same that's in the material file?  You have to make sure every letter, number, underscore, etc. matches it exactly.

It works when I just put 'preset_9body' but not 'preset_9bodyL' or 'preset_9bodyR'

So you want both sides to be different?

In the material file it works if the image is preset_body so its for both sides.

If you want to make one side different you'll have to change the code. Its not difficult.
Will be inactive due to work and exams.

Alright.  If you want the sides to be different, save the side that you want on the left as 'preset_#body(or head, tail or eye)l'  Make sure you have l or L at the end.  Do the same with the right side.  'preset_#body(head, tail, or eye)r'  r or R.

I'll show you with body.  After saving the left side as 'preset_#bodyl', go into the material file and find material preset_#_bodyMatL.  When you see 'texture preset_#body', all you have to do is place an l, or L, at the end of the 'body'.  Do the same with the right side.  Place an r, or R, at the end of 'body' when you find material preset_#_bodyMatR.

Easy enough?  If not, I can take pics to help you.
