Hi i am sorry for asking for all of this help i must seem like a bother to some, but i have run into another problem. I have recently joined a pack that has a map, and i have downloaded the map and it is in my documents, but when i type in the name in the ReadMe file in my feral heart exports it says the ReadMe file can not save check for typing errors. I need some one to help me walk through the process of getting the map on the game properally. If you guys can help me please let me know because i would be very grateful for some help.

Remember to put all In-Game Help-related topics in Help & Rules > Help > Game Help

Download the Map and save it on your FH folder, un-zip it then:

1. Put all the .fhm files into the 'exports' folder.
(C:\FeralHeart\exports)

2. .mp3 files should go into your sounds folder.
(C:\FeralHeart\media\sounds)

3. Put the .fhs and .fhw files into your 'sky' folder.
(C:\FeralHeart\media\sky)

4. All of the .fho (object) files should go into your my_objects folder.
(C:\FeralHeart\media\objects\my_objects)

5. Put the .png and .jpg files in your textures folder.
(C:\FeralHeart\media\textures)

6. Take any .mat files and place them in your material folder.
(C:\FeralHeart\media\materials)

7. Take the .fhp files and place it in your preset folder.
(C:\FeralHeart\presets)

8. Close and restart your FH window and go and see if the map works (Go into Cape, and there should be a portal leading to the new map)

9. Hope this helped  ;)

I have done what you said and now i have run into another problem. Whenever i type in my map name in front of the terrain.png like i saved it, the game will say feral heart not responding and then it will shut down. I don't know what the problem is so i typed it wrong to see if it would close but it just said that it couldn't find it.... I am so confused right now.

So, are you looking for the actual map that you saved, or the terrain for the map you were making?
When you go into Map Maker, the first tab that should be open is the "Map" tab. See where it says WaterMill? It's in a box; your previously-saved map's name should appear in it. If you saved it.

If you mean for making a map? Then thats a differ problem. Generally that means ur heightmap was made incorrectly. Try making sure ur heightmap (terrain image) is

513x513
png image
grayscale
NO ALPHA CHANNEL (mainly on gimp)

If your issue is still about getting the map onto game that u downloaded? Then after downloading the map, u place all the files into exports folder in your FeralHeart folder. Then Restart FH completely and go to cape. A portal to the map should be there~

Ok, I have a map and all and now my pack has it as well as the rival one. But thats not to problem here. You see, it has kicked everyone out (eating their chars) and now no one can get on the char for that rp. No one can get in or out of the map either. Well, you can get in but you get, "Failed to connect to server" thing. It goes on for hours seeing as we have all tried and nothing works. We all dont know what to do and we just cant seem or find out how to fix it. Please help.

Masha, don't post on other people's threads, start a new topic..

But, in regards to your problem, once the server gets a restart you should be able to get back into the map in-game no problem.
