FH Isn't Working for 2 of my Friends!

I recently got 2 of my friends to download Feral heart, but they both complained that everything is just black,they can see the symbols and the chat box but that's pretty much all, we tried re-installing the game and changing the rendering subsystem (OpenGL and Direct3D9) but nothing will work, can someone please help, thanks.

Did they download FH+ or the regular FH?

I don't think that's right. If they downloaded it for the first time ever and it did this, it had to be FH+.
I might be incorrect though. Anyway.. if they downloaded FH+ they need to go to the regular FH, move their characters into Bonfire island and set it as home.
