Muser's 34 Art Pieces (20 different Animals!)
« on: June 07, 2012, 08:52:10 pm »
Hello and welcome to my art gallery. Here you my see the 33 peices on display. Drawn on paper and pencil
by me, and put into photobucket's cool new editor to create the backgrounds & effects you see. If you want,I
can also put the 'before effects' sketches (before i edited them), but for now I hope you enjoy the combination.
Below I will place the names or phrases I used to describe the painting. Many of them contain symbolism,
while others are just the name of the animal drawn, or both. Organized in Alphabetical order.

1. A Sweet Salvation

2. African Wild Dog

3. Black Stranger

4. Cracks Of Suffering

5. Cryptic

6. Desirous

7. Egyptian Poisen

8. Escape Artist

9. Fangs Of An Angel

10. Flames Of Pain

11. Foal

12. Growth Of An Appaloosa

13. Herd1

14. Herd2

15. Hooved Wolf

16.Hunting

17. Kangaroo Rat

18. Kangaroo

19. Killer Whale

20. Lion

21. Loss of control, Increase in pain

22. Meerkat

23. Mocking Of The Knives

24. Panda

25. Paws & Scales

26. Release Your Chains

27. Rhino

28. Sleeping Beauty

29. Tarsier

30. Through The Branches Of Stripes

31. Vice & Virtue

32. Wolverine

33. Zebra

CHALLEGE: See if you can describe the symbolism in either or both the 'Name' of the art and/or the 'Action'
which the characters in the art are doing.

PRIZE: Karma (1 point = 2 karma nuzzles) (More than 4 points=10 nuzzles)

EXAMPLE: I will explain the 'African Wild Dog' peice.
The 'Name' obviously has no symbolism other than
showing the name of the animal.
The 'Action' the dog is doing, is directed in the attention of the sunset. He is looking to the future of his life.
The drawing is colored instead of black and white, which stresses that his future is bright and blissful, like a
rainbow. Because the combination of colors that surrounds him is like a rainbow.

I was correct in the following:
1. The Name.
2. Him looking to the future.
3. The Drawings colors.
Wrong in the following:
1. The colors symbolizing a rainbow
The color combination may look like a rainbow's, but they all fade into eachother. A rainbow does not do that,
it has 7 colors VIBGYOR and they are in reverse sequential order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo
and violet. A rainbow's colors do not fade into eachother, they have distinct lines between each color. There
is no rainbow symbolism in the peice.

I got 3 correct and 1 wrong, meaning I got 6 karma nuzzles as my prize. Since 1 point=2 karma nuzzles.

Hope I wasn't too descriptive xD Just remember, the challenge is basically finding & guessing symbolism in
the drawings and/or name of the drawings.

You can Rate my art, Comment on it, and/or Try out my challenge ;)

Thanks for the awesome video, Asacrecy! The music it beautiful ;)

I love your art.  Very beautiful.

I would like to 'try' explaining Desirous, number 6.
-The 'Name' may have something to do with the horses.  It could show that two stallions have feelings for the mare.  One may have went to the extreme to try to get the mare for himself.  Hence the meaning of 'Desirous,' the stallion must strongly wish to have the mare.
-The 'Action' shows that the stallion is happy to have the mare for himself, but doesn't know that the other stallion is watching.  It makes him seem cold and selfish on the inside, but the mare sees only the care and compassion that is shown on the outside.

Please don't laugh.  I just wanted to give it a try, but I probably failed.

Very good! Its almost perfect.
Points:
1. The name. You explained it quite perfectly
2. You probably saw the blood from the other male horse, which is why you said 'He went to the extreme', am I wrong? Either way, you got that right as well.
3. Your right on the Action where he doesn't notice the other male and seems selfish.

Wrong in the following:
1. He is not seen as compassionate on the outside to the mare. It may be hard to notice since I edited the picture, but she is looking away from him as he is showing off to her.

Right on 3 and wrong on 1.
6 karma nuzzles for you :)! Awesome job.

Oh, but you did miss out on a couple symbolisms though, but I can't explain them until someone else has guessed ;)

I'm sorry, I thought I had replied to this post.  Thank you, I honestly didn't expect that.  And I'll think about the symbolism and give it another try later on if you don't mind.
