Mass markings are not for one person only, everyone can use it to look at others who have it too. Like presets, markings can be created. But markings are black and grey and presets are colored. Markings are only limited to where it is on your character but can have colors. Presets can be personalized. Presets are usually for one person to use, but other people need to download your preset in order to see it, otherwise your character with the preset on can't be seen with the preset on, but rather completely white. Meaning they didn't download your preset.
