HELP ME!!! BLACK SCREEN

i installed NORMAL fh on my old computer about 5 months ago. the computer is a bit old and runs on windows XP. the game works absoloutely fine. so...

i just bought a new computer and laptop. both are quite new and have windows 7 and large graphics cards. I downloaded NORMAL fh on both of them. in the startup screen, the hills and water have no trees or flowers or anything. When i go to choose my character all i see is the buttons and my chara. When i begin to play the game, all i see is characters and the buttons down the bottom. everything else is BLACK. PLEASE HELP i love this game! its the best! and now i cant play

things i'v tried:
* uninstling and reinstalling using the game's uninstaller.
*ownloading the lonely cave map, put into exports, and try to 'go home'. when i try that it just sais 'return to ?' and then sais map server not found.

there's no help ANYWHERE so i need help pleeeeaaase! it will be very appreciated and i await ur reply! i will be checking back here every minute i can!

the trees and flowers are gone on mine,after i play the game everything turns black and the computer freezes

Rachel, the modify button is there for a reason. Please don't post repeatedly like that.

Have you tried changing your rendering subsystem?
Options>Video>Rendering Subsystem

If that doesn't work, go into your FH folder. Make sure you have all the proper files in fhmaps and terrains/textures/objects/everything. Make sure nothing is missing (compare it with your old computer if needed.) If you find that something looks a bit off, uninstall everything to do with FH, delete your FH folder, redownload and reinstall again.

I hope one of these methods works for you. It seems like you're just missing some files to me.
