Well, it really depends on a few things.
Your computer, for one.
What your computer can handle and what others' computers can handle are two different things, so if the map works for you, it doesn't mean it will always work for others.
I guess there's no real way to answer this.
You can make the map as big as you need,
but keep in mind that if you are going to add a lot of objects, make it smaller, and that not everyone's computer may be able to handle it. c:
