Halp w/ FH+
« on: July 21, 2012, 04:39:25 pm »
Hi. I'm trying to dowload FH+ for Windows Vista( I use IE9), but when I go to MediaFire and click on download, the little bar on the bottom of the screen that says the download name and asks if you want to "run", "save", or "cancel" never shows up. Does anyone know what's going on? :(
Note: I also already have the latest version of FeralHeart, with no custom content or glitches(That I know of) or anything.

That sounds like it might be more of a browser/mediafire problem than a FH problem. Have you tried checking your browser for updates?

Hmmm...well, after reading your post, I tried downloading it again, didn't work, so I checked for updates. None. So, I tried torrenting the file with FinalTorrent and, after it finished downloading, I clicked on the file name in FinalTorrent. Then, window after window after some error message the had a code I couldn't read(due to the neverending speed of each appearing window) popped up, and I had to ctrl+alt+delete and log off my computer for it to close. :-\ Then I tried to play FeralHeart. Nothing had changed. What should I do?

(Cookies for you if you just read all that)

The only other thing I can think of to suggest is trying a different browser (Firefox is good). If that doesn't work it's probably just an issue with the site itself.

I think it might be an issue with FinalTorrent or the file or something tho...and I don't think changing browsers would help since I've already downloaded it into FinalTorrent, and that isn't part of my browser.

But thanks much for your help. ;) I'll figure it out eventually.

Well, as said before, trying Firefox might save you a lot of trouble. It doesn't take long to install and is easy to use.

Ok...now I'm really confused...I tried downloading(not torrent) the file in FireFox, then after it had finished downloading then scanning for viruses, everything just kinda froze, then went completely blank,(I mean, the windows were still there, but they were completely white) and said "not responding". Then, I tried closing them, and it said: Are you sure you want to close the program? or something like that, and I clicked YES. Nothing happened. Then I had to log off my computer to close them. I think this might be a problem with the file... Help, please?  :(

Have you tried re-opening that file since you downloaded it?

Thanks for all the help! I finally got it to work! Although, when I try to login, it says: Please download the latest patch. I dowloaded the patch for v 1.13 on the regular FeralHeart section of the downloads page, and It keeps saying that. Maybe I put it in the wrong folder? (because I have a FeralHeart folder and an FH+ folder)
