Can't even log in?

Hey everyone, I have a problem with FH on my computer. I click on the link on my desktop, and it opens up to the OGRE Engine Rendering Setup, with the little drop down menu. The only option I have for the drop down menu is Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem. So I select that, and click ok. Next a black screen comes up, which usually happens when FH loads on my computer. Now though, it says FH is no longer responding, and shuts it down. I can't even get to the log in screen. Any ideas as to what is wrong? PS: I have the latest version of FH because I re-downloaded it yesterday.

FH is a drug to me. Can't even go my summer without it.

Hmmm did you try going on OpenGL?

I'm sorry, but what would that be? I'm such a noob when it comes to computers..xD

You have to switch the Direct3D9 to OpenGL by clicking the drop down menu when you see Direct3D. Otherwise you must start the game, and at the log in screen. Press options>Video>Rendering system>Press openGL then restart FH

I tried, and the same thing happens. Its odd, because when the OGRE-thingy comes up the first time, the only option is Direct3D9. I open it again after it fails, and the only option is OpenGL. Either way, the same thing happens and FH fails to respond.

Thats very odd, i think you should once again reinstall it, but this time, right off the bat, select OpenGL as your rendering system.

Well I re-installed it, and while using Direct3D9, it worked! I guess it WAS the downloads I was using, which is odd, because they were all common downloads that lots of people have used. I guess now I'll back up my files so I won't have to re-download it again. Thanks so much for your help!
