((Isn't Milleniumpaw a Thornclan apprentice? Redkit is in Creekclan.))
Songfeather nodded swiftly and yowled to the three cats that were to go on the patrol with her, Flameheart, Reedfoot and Icedapple. The calico flicked her tail toward Brightspot, smiling in response to the queen as she offered to watch her kits. The she-cat trotted out of camp weaved her way through the trees, ears high and alert, raising her muzzle to the air to inhale the crisp greenleaf air. Her pale green eyes surveyed the territory, finding nothing too out of the ordinary so far. She kept on, her ears swivelling back to catch the sound of any paws rustling the grass. There were none besides the ones who where on the patrol with her. The voice of the river drifted into her ears, soothing her tense nerves slightly.
"Any of you notice anything yet?" She asked softly, padding right on the river bank and looking down at the long shadow the sun casted over the water. The current wasn't too violent today, in fact a bit mellow. Her reflection was distorted.
Riverkit flicked an ear irritably, a bit put off that his efforts to appear elusive had failed, and Redkit had noticed him listening in. It mildly amused him how the turkish vann insulted her own father with the name 'foxface'. Any other kit might have been disapproving, but Riverkit never had the previlege of having a father. If Redkit had maybe insulted her mother, that would have been a different story.
The blue tabby tom stood up and flicked his tongue over his muzzle, kicking the bones of the rat he had just ate with his back leg. He stared pointedly at Redkit, "That whole 'Frostbite' story is full of badgerdroppings. You've been listening to the elder's stories too much," Trying to look cool, Riverkit stretched himself out and flexed his claws. "But if you really believe in that stuff, I'll go with you to protect you she-kits."
Sweekit scoffed, turning her nose to the sky and closing her eyes, "I'm not going. Sneaking out and getting turned into mouse-dust is Riverkit's thing," She smirked as she earned a vexed glare from Riverkit. "What about you, Fallen..." The calico she-kit trailed off, seeing that the spotted tom was nowhere to be found. Sweetkit 'hmphed' and stood up, trotting into the elders den without another word.
"Ignore her," Riverkit advised, rolling his eyes.
Fallenkit peered into the medicine cat den, warm brown eyes wide as he watched Halfeye go about her medicine cat-ly duties. He retreated further outside of the den as she lifted her head from setting a bundle of catmint down to look out at the sky. The spotted kit froze as the odd-eyed she-cat left the den, and was glad that she didn't notice him. He didn't know what would happen if he was caught spying on her, but he doubted nothing too harsh. Fallenkit tilted his head sadly as she disappeared out of camp. Suddenly his eyes lit up, and he slipped into the medicine cat den. He proceeded to stare in awe at the assortment of herbs, wondering what they all did and how one would memorize how to use them...
Spiderstar paused at the bottom of the bonehill, hardened green eyes glaring up at the sun. He had never liked its brightness and how it always tried too hard to light up the world... The sokoke preffered the night, when he could be concealed by the shadows. Being a cat had its perks, walking around in the dark was hardly diffucult when you had night-vision. Narrowing his eyes, he directed his gaze toward the ground and padded heavily to the warrior cat den, intensity burning in his orbs. He inhaled, claws unsheathed,
"Lostpath! Shadowclaw! Up and at 'em!" He caterwauled, preffering to address them personally than to call all of the clan out at once. To him, it wasted less time, when in reality, one call from his hoarse and incredibly loud voice alerted his whole clan. Spiderstar padded to the center of camp, ears flicking around as the sound of bones clattering resounded throughout the clearing.
"Lostpath, lead the morning patrol. Take whoever." He announced off-handedly, turning his piercing gaze to Shadowclaw, "Take the kits and apprentices to the training grounds and start training." His voice suddenly rose a few octaves again,
"As for the rest of you, get to hunting!"
