lately i've been seeing preset requests brand new ones that no preset makers are replying too. i find it out don't people check i mean i just put out preset request for something and my friend put out one 3 days ago for warrior cat preset an no one ever ansered.

I literally don't get why people aren't really checking or looking or even offering to make presets for people presets.

it's come to my attention that literally no one ever seems to anser a majority of preset request threads in the request preset section i want to know if anyone has an idea as to why?

There may be multiple reasons as to why this is.

1. No one has the time aTM since school will be starting back up.

2. Everyone is full on requests

3. The request is to difficult for someone willing to do it for free

4. People have been looking at the threads but none has gotten their attention or they see none they are willing to do.

You've got to remember that you're asking busy people to make you something that takes time, for free. You can't get mad at preset makers if they don't jump at you with offers when you request a preset - it isn't their job and they don't have to make them just because someone wants it.

I usually check into that section. o: I think it's just many people want to learn to make their own presets now as well... Yet it's fun to see the work of others. ~ ;w;

To be completely honest, it may have something to do with the fact it is a warrior cat character.
In my general experience, they are a dime-a-dozen and very few actually have serious character development. I wouldn't want to take time out of my life to make a free preset for someones character that I don't even know they will keepor use.

It could also be the entitlement attitude I pick up from some of the posts there. You don't deserve these presets, they are handouts from the goodness of people. I find many just post a reference and say plze do this one kthx.

I wouldn't answer either.

I agree with that point very much. Often that's the reason why I don't do presets for anyone else anymore. I have made a few presets for people but they are usually never serious about it and in about a month, if you're lucky, they stop using the preset. Often these presets they ask for too are very complicated and take alot of time to work in certain fine details. It's a nightmare to think you could spend a few good hours of your life helping out some random person just to make them happy who will not appreciate your work and just let the preset rot. Another thing is that I notice most of the people who ask for presets are listed as "newbies" with little posts. I don't like to judge but the moment I see that it puts up a warning sign in my head that this person might not be the type to stick around the forum or to a preset you give them. I feel better making presets for long term users, people I can trust will appreciate my work. I could care less for rewards for doing it but I at least want to know that my preset is going to a appreciative and serious player. Lastly I have skimmed through a few of those preset requests and I notice some people over do it with the amount of detail they want on a character... then on top of it all they have the nerve to complain if you did something wrong on their preset or precious Fursona.

Nail on the head.

I personally have yet to make any presets for anyone else (and it doesn't look like it'll start anytime soon), but I have given away a few maps for some organized groups, a few of them being warrior cat roleplays, and I find them dispersed within a week and with a masterpiece of a map at disposal. I remember being harped at by one of the clan leaders over the placement of the river  and how far away it needed to be from the dens or something of the like. I don't have to help you, nor be perfect.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.
