Out of date tutorials...?

Ugh. I was looking at Hammy's Meshing with blender tutorial and it's out of date. I have Blender 2.63 and I REALLY need one mesh made but it's too confusing. Are there any more blender tutorials or could someone help me out? Please?

I don't think that there is a newer one, which was why I wanted to make a more up-to-date version. I wonder if I could help you. My guess is that it is just a matter of finding an out of place button because the interface has changed.

Quite a lot of what Hammy said still applies, its just the new interface which confuses people. Start from the bottom of your blender screen and click edit mode to edit your mesh. If you have ogre tools you can export it the same way Hammy mentioned.
