It's some server spazzing indeed, but all you can do right now is to just stand it for now, connect to private maps or just less populated maps in general, logging onto other characters and such since this is most likely something that will not get solved right now.
The crashes itself is nothing that will kill us, might be annoying for most but hopefully it can be looked into the upcoming days.
