IntroBloody scratches make you strain your muscles to keep walking, paw after paw. You have been kicked out from your old pack sadly and have wandered alone ever since, looking for a place to call "home". The thick mist blocks your sight so you can only see a few wolf-lengths in front of you. Your paws trudge weakly against the ground in the unknown territory for more wolves are nearby. Soon, your pelt prickles with fright as you are finally aware of glittering eyes staring at you.
"W-Who's there?" You call meekly.
"It's a weak one. Kill it and get it over with." Wolves growl as they start to circle you.
Stunned in fright, you only manage to whimper out, "I mean no harm. I just am lost."
A lithe white wolf steps out of the shadows of the mist and comes to stand next to you face to face.
"Welcome to the Stormy Valley." She said swiftly. "We are The Swift Storm Pack."
"I-I'm [Your name here]. Wh-What are you going to do to me?" You ask quietly.
"Speak up!" The fae snapped. "We have no deeds with curl-tails."
You suddenly seemed urged to speak out, "I'm [Your name here]."
The white wolf seemed to relax and sat down on her haunches as the other wolves with her kept circling you like a limp piece of prey.
"I see. Now, I give you an offer. There is another pack on the other side of this line. You may pass to join them or forever remain alone."
The fae's tail twitched as the wolves around you let out a hiss, "Join us."
You now have a choice. Shall you run away from this mysterious pack and try and join the other? Will you accept the offer from this pack and join? Or, shall you remain a loner and forever be alone. The choice is yours. Pick wisely.Plot
Pure fear has shaken up the packs as more and more prey starts to leave the Valley. Few Upwalkers at a time have entered the Valley as well scaring the remaining prey to go farther and farther away from the packs. Tension rises as prey begins to be fought for. Droughts seem neverending, the heat is everylasting. What will become of the packs if this horrific event keeps going?
Season: Late FallAbout UsThe Stormy Gateway has two packs of wolves. The Swift Storm Pack and The Tall Grass Pack are both looking for members. We're not exactly like other packs in all with ranks and what not, but we have just about the same system. The Leaderwolf of The Swift Storm Pack, Arrosia, is the leader of this RP.
Swift Storm Pack - These wolves are lithe, and are usually smaller than the other pack but they are just as deadly. They live in the expanse of forest and trees in the Valley and are always cautious around their rival pack. They are clever little wolves and know how to trick others when needed. They have long legs but they don't do many long distance runs. They can sometimes climb certain trees such as oaks or willows. It makes them strong jumpers.The pack is led by their leaderwolf.
Tall Grass Pack - These wolves are bigger, yes, but their bark is worse than their bite. They can usually be hot-headed compared to their smaller and clever rival pack. They live in the expanse of plains and are used to the heat of the sun. They can run long distances easily without even breaking a sweat. It makes them good hunters and their size makes them good fighters. The pack is still in need of leaderwolf.
Rules1)No Mary-sues/Gary-sues.
2)Please don't powerplay/godmod or have any "superpowers".
3)Try and stay active. The rp times will be listed.
4)All FH rules apply as well.
5)If you are inactive for a two weeks without warning, you will be kicked.
6)Drama is good, but don't overboard.
7)No cussing in regular words.
8)If you see someone on the map that is not in the rp, tell me or your leaderwolves immediately.
9)Please try and not go wandering through the entire map and in both territories. Stick with your own. There'll be battles which means you'll have plently of times for that later.
10)Try and have at least 2 sentences each post. More would be GREAT though.
11) Don't give out the Map Link to anyone unless they're joining the RP.
12) Don't give anyone the password to the Map Board unless I say to.
13)Put 'HowlingMoon' at the bottom of your joining-sheet to make sure you read the rules.
14)Respect fellow Rpers OOC.
15)If fighting occurs OOC, you will be warned once. If it starts up again, you will be banned for a number of days.
16)It's ok if your character doesn't like another character IC but don't go killing anyone.
17)No auto-kills. And if you want to kill someone, ask them first in Whisper. If it isn't don't press please.
18)Please, no neon wolves. It's going to blind me.
19)Keep this to PG 13 only. There are kids on this site.

Pack Laws
1)Female wolves are permitted to have pups with either of the leaderwolves' permission.
2)Mates from the rival pack are forbidden. If pups happen, the parents will be exiled and the pups will be killed as they are deemed a "mixed-blood".
3)The Leaderwolves and second-in-command will decide when the hunts are. The pack hunts together as one in taking down large prey.
4)Leaderwolves choose the second-in-command.
5)Leaderwolves are mates.
6)Elders hunt too unless they are not able to. As of if they are blind or disabled.
7)Thank the Ancients for the prey you catch.
8)Don't trespass on the rival pack's territory.
9)Female wolves who have pups without permission will be punished but not severly.
10)Leaderwolves word is law.
Ranks
Leaderwolves - Alphas/Leaders of the Pack. Both mates.
Second-in-command - Next in line to become the Leaderwolf.
Iskans - Regular members of the pack. Guards I guess you could say.
Youngwolves - Older than pups, but younger than Iskans.
Mothers - Female wolves that are nursing or expecting pups. They have gotten permission from the leaderwolves to have pups.
Pups - The next generation of the pack.
Elders - The retired wolves of the pack. They will still hunt unless they cannot do so.(Blind or have a disability)[/size]
Rp Times
At the moment the Rp Times are usually around 12:00 P.M. Eastern Time but this might change depending on what works for others and events.
