I am terribly sorry if this looks anywhere close to Loch Leven. Please let me know if it looks like the topic/roleplay and I will try to change it.

Plot:

The skies have started to be painted gray and the leader, Jasper, has predicted that a storm will be coming soon.

Note from Jasper/Crystal:
My computer is grandpa old, so if I randomly leave without warning during a roleplay, it's because it froze/crashed. I seriously need to get a new computer and my dad is either trying to reboot the whole computer (with the help of his weird friend Jerry) or sell some stuff on eBay and try to raise money to afford a new computer. Ranks

Leader

The leader is pretty much like a king of a kingdom. He makes orders and he expects you to follow them. The leader can have a mate, as long as he still is the leader and isn't too busy around his mate. He will gladly give you punishments though. His mate cannot a queen or anything; she will still be in her own rank.

Deputy

Can either be male or female. The deputy is like the second-in-command, or another leader. If the leader dies or retires, they will become the leader.

Healers

The healers have plenty of healing herbs in their dens because their purpose is to heal the sick and injured of the coven.

Warriors

The warriors of the clan are the hunters and warriors of the coven. When battle comes, they go into battle. When they are not in battle, they hunt for food for the coven.

Spy

Spies are quick and silent on their feet and help warriors target enemies in battle.

Apprentices

The apprentices of the coven are trained to become healers, warriors, or spies. They are mentored by the fox of their choice of rank they wish.

Kitsitter

The kitsitter is mostly a female, that watches over the kits of the coven.

Kits

The kits are kits under 6 months old, that are watched over by the kitsitter and their mothers.

Seniors

Seniors are the older members of the coven, that have retired from old age or due to a weakness or disease that cannot be healed, like blindness or deafness. They are mostly looked after by the healers.

Ceremonies & Holidays
What kind of fox coven is there without some ceremonies?
Fall Moon
Fall Moon is where the foxes strong enough to dig all pitch in to make the underground coven larger. Also fall in Portugal means that the foxes need to build up their supply on prey and food.
Starry Nights
The Starry Nights ceremony celebrates summer for warmth returning to the area and prey returning to the area. On the first day of summer, the entire coven spends the day outside and when dusk comes, they all get to sleep under the stars.
Passing
A passing is when one of the members of the coven die. The foxes hold a silent ceremony for the death and the healers and the leader paint the dead fox's face with mud with lines, one line for getting killed, two lines for natural causes, three lines for injury/illness, and four lines for old age.

Rules

In character rules/coven rules:

1. Respect your leader and all ranks.
2. Murdering a fox of the coven is frowned upon and doing so will result in banishment or death.
3. You do not have to kill to win your battles.
4. Do not have a mate outside the coven.
5. Refusal to the deputy or leader's instructions/rules will result in loss of a privilege. If this goes on, you will be banished from the coven.
6. All foxes must attend meetings held by the leader. Most of them will be important.

Out of character rules

1. Do not god-mod, power-play, or Mary/Gary-sue. Be one of those things and you cannot come in the roleplay.
2. Be active. Of course we have all our real life stuff to take care of, but please be at least one roleplay.
3. Do not cyber-bully.
4. Mate in a private corner of the map, away from everyone else, and do it in whisper.
5. We will most likely roleplay on weekends at 6:00 PM EST.
6. To show that you have read the rules, put 'fox' somewhere in your application.

Jasper is a kind fox with a desire to meet everyone he comes across since he is friendly. He does not like hostile foxes, considering he is not very hostile. When he's not on his leader duties, he will talk with the members of the coven and will sometimes watch the kits play, considering he is very fond of kits and would like to have some of his own one day.
As a kit, Jasper was always fond of the idea of becoming a leader of a coven or a skulk. Overall, he lived a good life with his older brother, Thomas, and a little sister, Lilly. One day when he was almost ready to leave his family, Thomas left without telling anyone. Jasper stayed in the family a little longer to be there for his little sister Lilly, who had recently broke her paw while playing with the other kits. When her paw was healed and when Lilly was ready to leave the coven, Jasper went on his own for a little while. When Jasper started feeling lonesome, he had found a group of foxes. They called themselves the Foxes of Portugal. He joined them as a warrior, and he received the deputy rank when he chased off an eagle that was snatching at a litter of two month old fox kits. At three years old, the leader, Boulder, had gotten very ill. Everyone in the coven assumed that he was getting old. About a month later, Boulder died from old age, leaving Jasper to become the leader.

Leaf is a very skittish and shy fox, who is sometimes outgoing when she meets a new fox in particular. However, she mostly depends on her senses and noises to tell her where she is, considering that she was born blind. She can mostly be found in the healers' den because of her blindness, but she will come outside when she feels like it. Like Jasper, she has a fondness for kits.
Leaf was born into the coven, Foxes of Portugal, but she was born blind. Her mother taught her how to see the world through her blind eyes, and Leaf didn't let being blind stop her. She became a healer of the coven when she was apprenticed.
