Preset help required
« on: September 01, 2012, 07:23:34 pm »
Hello floofs, I couldn't figure this out on meh own, so I am turning to all the floofs! Anyways, I want to have a specific cmask to work on my preset, like I want the underbelly on the preset to look like my ingame underbelly, and so since I cannot figure this out... Will any generous floof help me?

There is no separate one for canines - just use the fbodymask for the canines as well. The only masks you need to be concerned about are the head ones and tail - eyes and body will be classified as feline, but it works all the same for canines. Hope that made sense xD

No, I am not sure you knew what I meant ^^". What I meant was uh You know the underbelly coloring character create? well I want to use the masks so I can recreate the underbelly pattern, so It looks like I am using an in-game charrie, but I do not know how to put a mask like that on a charrie, I know it is possible because I have seen many people do it with their presets. Help?

What ya do, is you go to
C:\FeralHeart\media\textures
and look for fbodymask2.png and load that into Photoshop or GIMP
Lock the transparency and color it the base color.
Then, make a new layer under that layer, and color it as the color of the underfur.

Well, the underbelly colouring is in with the whole body preset. They're not like markings, since you cannot alter them via the character creator options.

I'd use Preset Folder 1 or 2 for the belly placings. ~ :3

Ah, okay. Yup, these two have it right.  For that, go into your textures folder and open as layers on the preset you're working on the file called "fbodyMask2". That mask will show you where the line is for underbelly like in the game and all of that.

But I have another question, sorry I forgot to say this on, how do i do the same thing with markings? but like getting just the markings on-top the masks and stuff. Can you lend a paw with this one?

Unfortunately, I know nothing about markings.

Generally, markings should automatically go over mask.
Here are some of the tutorials I found, I hope this might help.
