Preset question: Can you get basic idea then use art program?

Okay, so I was wondering if there was a way to get the basic colorations done in game, and then simply add details via an art program?

Honestly I could be wrong but I don't think you can do this since if you create a character with the color you like in game the character is saved on the server not on a file in your pc so you can't pull out the file and then work with it to add the details after. What you could do though lets say if there's a specific color you can get on the in game creator that you're having a hard time matching on your preset in the art program is to just screenshot the character in the in game editor then open the saved file in your art program and use the little "dropper thingie" to match that color. From there you'll have to work the preset on your own though unfortunately. There is no easy way around making presets. (I hope this is the answer you were looking for lol) ^_^

It's not that so much as I don't want to mess up the texture.

Well just some advice then you should always have extra back up saved files of the preset with just the colors and details before you add the texture on it. Once you have added the texture it's a little hard to fix from there anything that was under that texture. Maybe someone else has another idea of a way to help you hopefully because your explanation of your problem is a bit unclear to me. Goodluck Stark
