Height Map Help
« on: October 13, 2012, 05:18:36 pm »
I have a deep lake and some streams in my map I am making, but I also have an underground den, and I don't want it to be filled with water. Is there any way to have the water only fill the lake and streams, and not the den?

Yes, there is a way to place water manually.

Press Objects in Map maker > Go look to the bottom and press 'New Water'. > You will have a block of water connected to your mouse, and if you want to change the size, just press 'Controls' and you can do it that way. ~

Alright, I'll try that. But there is a way to make the water reach the bottom of the lake, correct? ^^

Of course. ~ What I do sometimes is get the New water, and make it as big as half of the map. The area of water to be filled is filled, while other spots aren't.

Just make a dip in your greyscale (make it dark) and use a den-mesh to cover it up.
