Shanira squeaked when he said a lion might appear "You wil be back right?" she whimpered, she hated being alone. "I don't want to be by myself anymore.." she layed her ears back sadly "It's boring being all alone all the time ya know?" she sighed "Ever since my parents and brothers were killed by lions I have been alone this whole time.." she looked at Carmelita "Carmelita, you will come back right?" her eyes turning wider, she was doing the 'puppy eyes' look.

Carmelita crawled back into the den, and nuzzled Shanira. "Of course I would come back" she said in her angelic voice, and crawled back outside with Marico.

Shanira smiled "Okay!" she sat at the back and watched them leave, in the distance she could hear the lionesses on their hunt which made her gulp. Speaking of food, Shanira was hungry "I'm hungry." she sighed. She left the den and sniffed around, she could smell a fresh kill which made her drool, she ran through the tall grass and saw an untouched Wildebeast carcass "Yippee!" she beamed as she ran over and began ripping the flesh of the bones and eating. She stopped chewing when she heard heavy footsteps behind her, she froze when she heard a lioness's roar. She spun around and saw six lionesses circled around her "That is our kill." one of them hissed "Oh..Um sorry!" she spit out a piece of meat "You can have it!" she darted off but was stopped by another lion "Where do you think you're going! You ate off of our kill, now we need to fill in the gap with you." she laughed. Shanira whimpered as they closed in on her, she knew what she had to do. She scratched the lioness's eye and darted under her and ran through the tall grass "Get her!" they yelled. Shanira's leg stretched out as she ran, her claws digging into the ground "What do I do?" she cried as she ran. In the distance she saw a MeerKat's home and darted in, she could hear the lions digging at the hole, making it bigger..It would only be a matter of time before they got to her.
