I want to start A LITERATE LONG-TERM RP GROUP but I need partners! (:

So I have never been able to become a part of a long-term RP group, even though I have been playing since the very first release of Impressive Title. x)

I decided I would start one, instead! But I sort of lost connections with everyone I used to talk to on here. So here we go.

I want to start a small-medium sized group of active, literate RPers. I don't want it to be stuffy or elitist; I don't want a "hierarchy" of members, I just want a bunch of people who are interested in roleplaying interesting characters in one potentially epic storyline.

I don't want it to be species restricted, gender restricted, or anything restricted, really!

I want this to go the whole nine yards, custom presets, custom map, and a story we can all agree on. My only conditions are really, serious RPers. I don't want mile-long paragraphs, I don't want shakespearian vocabulary, I just want people who use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and use at least a few lines of text per post.

I don't want to make people apply to join.

I like the sound of this. I know a few literate rpers who might enjoy this as well, though we do tend to do the mile-long paragraphs and I'm sure a few may be plagued with the Shakespearean vocab epidemic

Later on, once there are enough people to start rping properly, would we then become a clan/pack/whatever or stay independent? Or is that something we would all decide upon later? I would suggest requiring a rp sample though, just so you can weed out any who say they're literate but still can't type a full sentence, much less a paragraph that makes sense.

Well, I enjoy the capability to write mile-long paragraphs, and there's always a time where they're necessary; I'm not trying to push limitations either way! I'm just saying I don't want it to be "~elite~", y'know?

I think we would decide on the whole pack/clan/whatever thing as we deem fit. If the storyline we choose involves two factions within one story, we could be playing characters within multiple groups or allegiances,  so that will really be decided together.

I agree with you on the RP sample, though, good call. ;P

Buttons spread the word to me and I'd be more than willing to join in! =) I am more of a forum RPer though because of only being able to hop on here for so long. There are more people in-game though, so that's up to you. It just seems a bit difficult to get everyone online at the same time, ya know?

Definitely include RP sample. I made the mistake of not including that for a mate rp. Big mistake x.x Literate means different things to different people. I'll try and spread the word to other RPers I know. =) Also, by no species restrictions, would that be including mythical creatures/humans or do you mean as far as wild animals go?

This seems like a pretty neat idea, I used to make RPs like this in-game but after a week or so everyone just stopped showing up which upset me x.x I'm more of a forum role-player but sometimes attempt in-game role-plays but it seems most players now are very very illiterate :C Which I don't mind until I have no idea what they are saying to me.

Righto- I've done a bit of both, in-game and forum RP. I like both- as an artist I love the visual aspect of in-game, but it wouldn't have to be in-game 100% of the time. I have no qualms with forum RP for the main bit.

I guess what I meant by no species restrictions was pretty much any beasties, none of this "canine only" "feline only" business. Dragons, birds, flying walrus, whatever you want as long as you can play it play it well. I have almost never roleplayed with humans now that I think about it, and wouldn't RP one myself in this case, but I guess if you are really dead-set on it, hey, I'm not that hard to convince.

I'm very much interested in the idea of this, and though I can't say I'm necessarily good with making plots, I can certainly help make things! xD I'd like to think I'm good at making presets, so I can definitely help there :3
