Help Some Questions!
« on: December 02, 2012, 02:55:42 am »
Well my first question is that I see all these people make videos on their maps an what not. I would love to do that as well, but I'm not sure how? Can anyone help me, do they use a program or a website? Because I would love to get a video of my map on like Youtube so I can show it to my friends.

My second question is on how to make a portal/gate for my map, I tried doing it, but it says the Map file is not found. Can anyone help me with that?

I personally use Fraps to record, you need to buy it though to record for longer than 30 seconds. If search around Google you could find a free version... Otherwise just look up "free screen recording programs" and ou should be able to find something.

When typing in the name of your map, you have to type the Map Name, not the Display Name. That means no spaces.

What map are you trying to link it to? They won't be able to link with exported maps, if you're thinking of linking maps to original Feralheart or downloaded maps.

Well I downloaded a map called Weadhur Cliffside, that is able to go from the Cape of Distant Worlds back to it. I was hoping to get my map to do the same.

So you want to link it to Cape? You don't have to do any linking or coordinate typing to get your map there, all maps will automatically go to Cape if the "Has Portal" box is ticked on the first tab of Map Maker.

The problem is that I can't get back to the cape, my portal just disappears.

It's probably because the portal is outside the map boundary. I have a tutorial for fixing that: http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&topic=19214.0
