The Hobbit~

Just got back from seeing the Hobbit on opening night and man was it awesome. It wasn't as good as the lord of the rings but it was close in my opinion ^^ Great show. I want to see it over again and I will if  the opportunity arises xD

I'm like having nerd spasms just because I really want to see it o__o I'm going to see it with a group of friends on Monday.

I wanted to see it but after hearing about how many animals were mistreated and died in the making of the film kinda put me off Dx

PFFFTTTT. Every time I go to catch my bus in the afternoons I'm faced with a hobbit advertisement of Ian  McKellen in all his glory and, I really need to go watch it. Though it's reminded me that my grandad gave me the lord of the ring book collection and I have never found the time to read them! Odd enough. But yeah I'm happily reading the lord of the ring books atm whilst I try and gather some cash to go watch The Hobbit with some amigos.

I haven't seen The Hobbit yet, but I'm totally stoked for it. My boyfriend and I are planning to see it.

As for The Lord of the Rings being better than The Hobbit, that was not a mistake. The book The Hobbit was published in the 30s as a whimsical adventure story, and The Lord of the Rings was published in the 60s as more of a 'fairy tale for grown-ups' that expanded on the universe that was created in The Hobbit.

So if Lord of the Rings seems better than The Hobbit, it's because The Hobbit was created as a children's story, but The Lord of the Rings was written later, and with a much more mature audience in mind.

Going to see it tonight, really looking forward to ti I have read the book and loved it, and I have no doubts that the film will live up to the book's standards.

I absolutely loved it! They got it right down to the details, and I like how Peter Jackson included the bits of the story that weren't actually written much about in the book, if that made sense to anyone. I can't wait for the second one

I'm so excited! And yes, I heard at they were going to make two more actually, I forgot the second one but it had 'Smeagol' in the title and the third one I belive is called 'There and Back agan'
