They were now out in open plains. They could see cliffs in the distance. "We should rest," Kurith sighed, his wings sore. He glanced at Samala. "You can teach Kithea all about foliage when we get to a cave in those cliffs." He snorted.
Kithea rolled her eyes and looked at the book, not recognizing any of the "writing" on the "pages". She closed it and tucked it close to her body so she could look ahead. "Ignore him, Samala," she said, smiling, "The herbs sound interesting."
Bailey skidded to a landing in the S.A.S.D camp, looking around. Several humans stepped out of their houses and revealed themselves calmly. Bailey growled and roared, her spine raised. "Help my friend!" she snarled, "Or I'll make you!" She didn't have tiem for any reluctant fellows. A young man in a white coat walked up, gently taking Magno, Bailey eyed him carefully. "You hurt him, and I'll hurt you tenfold," she said simply. The man nodded and took him into a building and closed the door. Bailey peered through the small windows, trying to see through them.
