Sound Promblems
« on: January 08, 2013, 05:22:30 pm »
I recently downloaded a map and there was a music.cfg file, which I put into my main FH folder. I started playing the game and I could hear music just fine. So, I logged of. When I came on this morning, there was no music whatsoever. Help?

I've got a number of solutions in my mind at the moment, but each depend on the situation.
Was there no music in the map you downloaded, or no music in FH entirely?

The map I downloaded has music, but the rest of FH doesn't.

Right, okay.
Can you copy and paste the coding in the music.cfg file into a post so I can have a look at it, please?

Go to the FeralHeart folder, scroll down to the file named 'music', and just double click it. Or right click, and open with Notepad or Wordpad.

to get your music back to what it was originally, paste the following inside the the file, erasing what you have there

[Title]
media/music/title.mp3
[Plains]
media/music/plains1.mp3
media/music/plains2.mp3
media/music/plains3.mp3
[Caves]
media/music/caves1.mp3
media/music/caves2.mp3

you may want to tell the map maker their music files and groupings need to be better organized to prevent these things from happening.

I don't know if you're problem was solved yet, but you put it in you're 'Main FH Folder'? Umm, What you do is you put all the map stuff in exports. I don't know how you heard the music when you put it in your main FH folder, if I'm correct. :/
