Help with presets and meshes [Windows 7?]

Yes,I'm having problems with my knowlage about presets and meshes. Question:Do I need to download a diff Windows to make presets and to download the 'equip' needed for it? And P.S.:I HAD NO SHIZZLING IDEA WHERE TO PUT THIS!

Okay for the preset..Put them in here

Not what she was asking for Thrillex, and Neeloo, I myself have Windows 7 on my laptop, i've made presets on here fine, i usually make them with GIMP 2.8.

No, you don't need to download a different windows, you just need a program like photoshop or gimp to be able to make them. Paint does not work for preset making.
You also do not need to download the equip, it can already be found in the game. You just need to color the wing models from the folder (in the my_presets folder) for them to work.

And you also need to make sure when you put the preset in, make the name in the material file (the notepad) matches the names of everything.

Yep GIMP is 100% free! That's why it's so great xD

GIMP is free, but there are more features with Photoshop. and Photoshop is VERY pricey...believe me.

Hopefully the top link will somewhat help you the ways of making a preset. Preset Basics part 2 is till in the making, where it will teach users how to make different sided presets. the tutorial does present in pictures so you can fallow along if you get lost.

Since i know nothing about meshes ill send you a link to other people who have probably made a tutorial on how to make them. Usually when you have a question on how to make something, check the tutorials or even youtube if you learn better from movies. Good Luck

Thank you all for these replies! I will love you guys for this! When I read these posts I made my first feline [or canine] preset! I named her Mikasa. She likes potatoes. And trains. But that's a diff subject. THANK YOU ALL FOR THIS!
