Unable to open FH?

/Yup, help thread, I'm back again in less than 24 hours. :/ /

As I tried to open FH today, this message popped up.


I clicked 'OK', hoping it was just a random error. Tried again. Same error. Two more times - You guessed it. Error.  So, obviously, there is something wrong. I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall the entire game, but if I have to, I have to.

Does anyone out there have advice or any idea of what "d3dx9_42.dll" is? :?

I'm not quite sure what it is, I'll have to check it out - might be that something is missing to get the game to work properly.

Try to uninstall and reinstall the game - and make sure you have the DirectX and JAVA versions that are needed to run the game~ ;3

Indeed it's nuh funz.. But it's better then having to search your computer for one missing dll file <.<
I hope it helps with simply re-installing~ ;3

Indeed, it IS a pain. >>  Though I wouldn't want to search my whole system, so I'll just go reinstall now.

When you lose files or something like this, download Microsoft Visual C++ 2005. When I was downloading something, the same thing happened. So one of the staff members told me to download Microsoft Visual C++. I did, and guess what. IT WORKED! I love how even the little annoying pop up box is like giving you tips on how to fix it. I was just going to say try re-installing it. Unfortunately this does mean you start over and preset/custom maps/ and items will be back to the original formate.
