Maybe it's cause you've got a unique style in drawin'....
Anyway, 'tis all good and I hope you keep on doing more
Maybe you should draw some more characters without the skull-face~
Who knowz, you might get even more fans then

@FeralFireHeart: Thank'oo for the comments!  I'm sorry they all look a bit aggressive; the vast majority of my roleplaying characters are grumps, too!

My commission work is almost entirely drawing portraits of people's adorable pets, but-... Well. My heart lies with fanglorious beasties! I'm not really here to gather fans, I'm just here to do what I enjoy!

However, I'll stop posting my work if it's really, really making everyone unsettled; I'd hate to trample upon other's feelings.

I think Nemena's menacing creatures are awesome and I don't think she should "ditch" the menacing look. If that is her style and that's what she likes it's up to her how she designs her characters and what feelings she puts out in her art. Personally I don't find her characters scary at all, skull head or not. Just because the character has that look does not make it menacing really. Same as how when people see my character Lord Suragaha they assume that he is aggresive and cold hearted when in reality he is very much the opposite. I think they are all beautiful characters ^_^ and lol if it scares you FeralFireHeart then watch this:

Everyone will have different feelings about your art Nemena but I don't think you should stop posting just because of that. I am not at all disturbed by your art. I find your art absolutely amazing, besides what is so scary about a skull? I am fashionated with skeletons and for you to be able to draw a skull so well & detailed is a huge example of your skill. What I believe FeralFireHeart may have also been trying to say is that we want to see more of your style since you mainly post the skull headed character. :3

AHjkjfka. Lord Surhguahghua-- I'm not worthy of such gracious comments! ;A;

I never really intentionally try to make my characters menacing, but-... Well. Skulls. Been trying to doodle some happier Guays and it's tricky to strike a balance between morbid and cute! Though, I'll whole-heartedly admit to initially believing Suragaha was a grump.

But afsjhfs, thank you! I've been worried about posting here because of the PG-13 limit; I wasn't sure whether my scribbles were a little too iffy for a younger audience-- FeralHeartFire's post heightened my concern a little (even if they're right about needing to branch into less-skully subjects! )

I tried and failed to make my very first plushie (be gentle!!) of my raptor character, Segven. 20 hours of pain, prickled thumbs, fraying material and glue later....! (I'm really tempted to make a FH character based on him)



A WIP of my gryphon character- Vulta. Still need to add the background-- sorry for the poor-quality photo! Doodled it in coloured pencils between classes.



And a request for Marr of his ninetales character. Thinking about starting anew; it doesn't really look like a ninetales at all!

Again, congratulations on your win in the art contest (a very well-deserved win, if I might add), and I am so glad I found where you posted the rest of these so-called 'doodles' of yours. <3 I find your work so fascinating, and very original. Even your pokemon characters have unexpected, but fantastic features of their own, and the fact that you can do this using many different mediums (pastel, water color, and so on) simply blows me away.
I am most definitely looking forward to seeing more of your work. ^.^
