She nodded lightly. "I... Suppose I'll be going then... I apologize for interrupting..." As she turned to leave, the form of her alpha slowly faded into sight once again and blocked her path.
"As the youngling said, being in a pack is much safer than being alone, Aby." His words seemed to say in a raspy voice as he appeared as a mist.
Abyss merely growled at him, telling the spirit to leave her alone and walked through him as she left.
The spirit only sighed, gazing at the others in apology and slowly disappeared.

Nik choose his words carefully as be spoke.
"But isn't all groups of wolves a pack, even if they are small?" He asked.
"I'm a kitchen sink, you don't know what that means. Because a kitchen sink to you, is not a kitchen sink to me, okay?"

Slay shook his head. "No. A pack is a group of wolves who love each other, depend on each other, and would do anything for another. A pack is a family. I have no pack, and from the scents of y'all, nobody here does." He said and looked down to Aluxia quickly. "Besides. We have made no real plans of anyone sticking around." He said and looked up. "Not yet anyways." he smiled and looked hard at the horizon.

Abyss sighed lightly as she exited the den. The rain seemed to be coming down harder, now that she was outside. She trudged through the mud, ending up back in the place she had started.
The water was disturbed, being batted around like dough.
Her ears perked as she heard a sort of sickly growl... She recognized it all too well...
She lowered her head as she stared at the overgrowth, watching a pair of lifeless blue eyes staring back at her as if they had been stalking for a long while.

Nik looked down at his paws and thought about this, it made sense.  He did not answer because he noticed Marv go into a crouch.  Marv lowered himself to the ground and moved lowly toward so far, unseen prey.  His yellow eyes were narrowed to slits and his ears were toward.  He suddenly leaped into the as if he had be startled and landed on a mouse.  He trotted happily to Nik.  The bloody mouse hanging from his mouth.

The lifeless eyes came closer... Suddenly, the laughing form of an enormous timber wolf appeared from the shadows as lightning flashed across the sky and in the fae's yellow eyes.
"A black wolf?" The wolf said, voice hoarse and rough.
"Leave slowly..." The fae responded, her lips lifting to reveal her teeth. She had begun to growl.
His maw was gnarled into a very evil smirk as he bursted into hoarse laughter. "I knew there was some bad luck that entered this forest from the moment I saw you here!" He continued laughing as blood began to run down his chin. "This is all your fault, y'know..."
Her eyes narrowed as she stared at him.
Once he charged, he began to laugh... This laughter was maniac... "Die mutt!" His voice echoed through the trees.
There wasn't any time to think. She leapt at him, dodging his frontal attack and clamping her jaws shut on his neck from the side.
His whimper was loud and full of pain, until he fell silent and motionless.

Nik's ears perked up quickly and he body tensed.  He spun around toward the sound, his ears back and his teeth showing.  Marv looked up from his prey and looked around wildly.
"Did you hear that?" He asked not only to Marv but to Slay as well.  Marv nodded and glared into the the grass.

Abyss sighed as she dropped the corpse, making sure her attacker was dead. Once she discovered that he was gone, she began digging a hole to bury him.
Six feet across, six feet deep. Once she had finished, she flopped the body into the hole by sworn accident, and began covering the hole with dirt, and refilling it.
She hadn't realized that the blood of her attacker had begun to drip from her maw.
She remembered it wasn't contagious this way... It was catching through the quickly dying earth.

((sorry i have not been on. im caught up though. ;3))

aluxia flicks her ears towards the den, she swivles around and dashes to abyss. she sees the body in the ground and stops short. "their here." lunix scampers to her, breathless, and stares at the body in horor. he looks to aluxia "that wopf... hes..." the golden fae nods, looking almost sick as she stares at the wolf. "the disease is here too..."she whispers, thinking of her pack, her parents, next in line, had told her that the alphas had caught it. she steps back and looks at abyss, "it got your pack too..." she didnt say it as a question, she knew their small group of animals were here because of this disease.

"The pack of Understanding, that's right." She sighed as she glanced at the oceanic blue eyes of the spirit once again. "It was in Prospering Land, where the food was infected. I didn't eat with the pack, so I didn't catch it."
The spirit became gnarled as he snarled, as his eyes became lifeless like the ones the infected wolf possessed and he bursted into a bright blue flame. The fae was used to his outbursts of aggression, now that she knew who he was.
"I had to kill the alphas and the other survivors before we got here... there were only seven of us, out of seventy one... they all got infected." She sat beside the make-shift grave and began to pray for the infected one.
