 Okay, that's just....meep.
1. Costumes are supposed to be silly. Why not make them silly?
2. Believe it or not, cowboys did exist. You can dress up as a Mexican cowboy--it's not saying that all Mexicans are silly-looking guys on ponies.
3. And as for the nerd thing...who really even thinks that all nerds are guys with that style of hair...that skin color...small eyes, I mean come on. It could be some really fat white person with long hair, or a short black person with an afro. Who knows?
