The Stupidest Ads You've Ever Seen
« on: February 10, 2013, 01:32:09 am »
What are the some of the dumbest, stupidest, or strangest advertisement that you've ever seen/heard? It could be something on the edges of a website, or something you saw during the Super Bowl.

 I saw...

"Are models on blender fake?" This was some stupid advertisement for if, when you make a model on blender, blender automatically makes it better or something? Really dumb.

 What 'bout you?

I keep seeing this advertisement for a computer-chair-cushion.

The way they portray it though- MYGOG. GET A LAPTOP AND A COUCH BC.

It's like all these people are breaking they're backs on the computer or something.

I saw this One Beautiful Christmas and it put me off for life:

Don't worry, I saw this on the internet, but I feel really sorry for the people who live in the USA when they are doin' some innocent shopping at the supermarket, when they suddenly see THIS.

Benetton's Sweater adds. Some of the most messed up adds I've ever seen. They were trying to go for the whole 'shock factor' with their adds (Which would include things like patients suffering from aids to Obama Photoshopped to look like he was kissing other men) and it worked for a bit to keep them in front of the media, but then they completely went overboard and took a bunch of prisoners from Italy who had been locked away for life (for murder and other terrible things) and they made them look like /heroes/ in their adds! What the heck were they thinking? Families to the victims of the prisoners called them out for it, saying that to glorify murderers like them was the worst way possible to try and get people to buy their product. And Benetton was forced to shut down all 'shock' commercialism from then on, and they've taken a huge plummet in sales because of all the bad press they had received.

What we do in life, echoes in eternity.

I clicked on this one ad... and now I bet my computer has a virus, because listen to this, It's so a scam!

So I was on the FH website, you know, doing my thing, then a little pop-up comes up at the bottom of the screen. It asked: How many bouncing Ipads are there? There was all these IPads hopping around on the screen, and oh god they were SSOOOOO easy to count! So I clicked on the answer "8". It opened up a new tab, and it said: Congratulations! You can now pick a FREE prize from below! And the prizes were stuff like IPads, laptops, and other electronics. Now, either people in Wisconsin are really dumb, or this is a scam. Who would give out a FREE laptop for that easy little question? I didn't click anything, Xd out of it and deleted this thing on google chrome that downloaded itself? Hmm. Oh well, not a stupid ad, but I wanted to share it.

Yeah, you gotta  be careful with ads. I don't fully trust them anywhere on ANY site. Not even this one. Sorry guys, I can't allow some ads to bypass my filters and security. It's like an easy gateway to computer hacks (some people link it, I know).

Ayyy~
