Keeping fur texture on preset

Hello floofs!So,I'm trying to make a preset for my fursona(changed its look) and I have one more thing to know before i start:How do i keep the fur texture?I mean,if i just simply color it,it will dissapear,and it will look strange.I'm also using Photoshop CS5,so plz tell me how.

If like this then its hard...You have to vut lots off peces.....well its hard x_x

It's easy really. Just open up (as another layer) the fur texture you want in Feral Heart >> Media >> Textures. Once you have opened it up, go to 'Layers' then there should be a drop down box saying 'Normal'. Click the arrow in the drop down box and select 'Multiply'. If it looks a little jaggady then right click the layer and go to where it says 'Transparency' and take off the alpha channel.

So pretty much open your UV map and then the fur texture image in Photoshop, just copy and paste the fur texture image and paste it as the top layer. Select the fur texture layer and pretty much change the layer type to Multiply or Overlay like Buffy has said :)



Hopefully it should look something like what I have.

There are also tutorials you can look at if you need further assistance ;)
