Something Terrible...
« on: May 06, 2013, 12:13:22 am »
Ok so I went to Cape, and suddenly my FH crashed. But now (this has happened every time since), two seconds after I click on the FH icon, it crashes. Every time. I dunno what it is, and all the other "FH Crashes" threads are about crashing in-game. I'm not even at the loading screens when it crashes. Any advice?

Do you notice any specific error messages when it crashes? If you've been installing any mods or messing around with files it's possible you messed up your game's files a bit. Have you considered uninstalling your game then deleting the Feral Heart folder and then reinstalling? I suggest doing that since it's usually the magic fix for situations like this. Make sure you back up all your important files like presets, maps, and screenshots though before you do so.

Nope, the only thing is says is "FeralHeart.exe has stopped working." And the only thing I have done today was export my map...

It is probably a Ogre error. What you need to do is put your OpenGL Rendering System to Direct3D9 Rendering system

If your Feral Heart is looking something like this then here's what to do.
Go into your Feral Heart folder and open up your Ogre. in notepad. Then this is what you would see when you open it. Change the top one with the Direct3D9 Rendering System.

Make sure you change the top one and if your anti allaying says something else, change it to "no

Hope this help floof

Try switching it to OpenGL again then using the same steps Feareh showed above.

Perhaps it's not the game that is the problem, maybe it's your video rendering card that is in your computer to process games.

All computers has some sort of video rendering card, some are just meant for document work, while more advance video rendering cards are able to play games and some flash videos. Try and see if your video card is up to date

It may be duplicate files messing up the game.
Look in the Feral Heart>Media folders and then look in Particles and Objects folder for any files with _0 or _1 at the end of them.
