"Failed to export preset" error message? -SOLVED-
« on: May 13, 2013, 01:45:32 pm »
So i'm sick today and decided to make a preset. I have made multiple presets in the past, and I have never run into this problem. When I go to preset maker and try to export my preset to use in-game I get an error message telling me it failed to export the preset. Has anyone had this happen before?

^ Sorry, I blocked off the image of the preset. ^^' I wouldn't want anyone coping it... which is pretty useless since I'm going to be using it in the game. XD

Hmmm... All I can think of is:
The files are in a different preset folder other than 1 or 2, right? They can be derpy if placed there, unless the preset replaces one of them.
That's sadly all I can really think of. One other thing, did you try running as admin. or switching rendering systems? Running as Administer can help a lot at certain times.

Do you already have a preset of that number in your FH>Presets folder? If you already have a preset of that number that you're using, you might have to delete that reader file first. That happens to me sometimes.

I am using preset #4- on I have used in the past. I made sure that the only preset within the folder is the one I am using too. I am noticing more people asking this, so I believe it might be a glitch because all the other numbers work for exporting. Also if I were to change the preset number and such it would show up in FH but not export like the original.

Maybe an error with the coding? Did you use a coding that you took from a tutorial or its the default one?

In-game name as: Whinp

I started out with the default coding, but I had to edit it slightly since my preset has two different body sides. I have done this before and it always seemed to work. :/ I don't think I did anything different.

I had the same thing happen to me a while ago, this was fixed when I got ride of multiple parts that I had in my folder at the same time. Try to take unneeded files out of the preset so it won't cause much confusion. Check the names on your file and make sure it matches up with the coding names in your notepad. Then restart Feral Heart and go back to your preset tool and it should work from there.
I Stalk from time to time...I have moved on to other things but do miss this place. Good times

Thank you all for your replies! It now works! I re-typed all the codes and it ended was successful! Thank you all so much!
