"Watch it!" Risto spat as water splashed over him. Drool mixed with it, and he glared at the direction of Teegan, who had ran off without another word except for "sorry". Letting out a hiss of irritation, he fluffed out his pelt and stalked off in search of the herbs for Flak. The night breeze felt good as it ruffled his pelt, but he still didn't feel safe without the moonshine. He glanced up. Clouds covered over the moon, and only a few stars twinkled down at him. Sighing, he pushed past the ferns, letting them stroke his back as he headed farther into the wilderness. He tasted the air, and let out a puff of relief. There wasn't any scents of enemies around here--only the scent of dirt and herbs. His whiskers trembled as he felt his way around, sticking out his head first, then his body. "I feel like I'm blind." He muttered softly, padding quietly among the bushes. Suddenly, his paw jerked and he let out a yowl mixed with surprise and pain. Hissing, he pulled out his paw gave it urgent licks to soothe the pain. He leaned over to inspect what had happened. His whiskers brushed against some dirt, and surprise lit his gaze as his surroundings grew darker. Pulling out his head, he realized that he was twisted his paw in a rabbit hole, and he silently cursed it for that. It wasn't long before he tensely tested his paw onto the ground again. He was relived; the pain wasn't that bad, and so he carried on, searching for the right type of herbs for Flak's wounds.
Moments later, he reappeared breathlessly, carrying a small wad of cobwebs, along with some dock. He couldn't find any more of the goldenrod, and he suspected that a creature had greedily consumed it.
If you could eat goldenrod or not. He limped back to the rest of the group, following Teegan's fading scent as he clambered up the rocks. Letting out another sigh, he spat out the herbs near Flak and Teegan, glaring at the brute. "Found the herbs." he muttered, partly to himself as he unwrapped the cobwebs. Without any warning, he hastily pressed the cobwebs to the injuries of Flak's, watching as the blood soaked into the webs. That done, he removed them, holding his breath as he peeled them off with his teeth.
Almost done, he thought with relief as he plucked out the dock. The icky taste of the herb rested on his tongue as he applied it to Flak's wounds.
When he was done treating the brute, he turned to Teegan and tugged the rest of the herbs along with him. "Now, let me check you." he urged, shifting the cobwebs closer to her.
