"It's just me," Risto pointed out at Flak's words about too many felines. Shrugging, he stiffened at the words from Xizon. "Great, just great." He muttered, glaring crossly at the two. He felt too crowded with a bunch of canines around him, and he decided to get some fresh air while at it. Randomly waving his tail, he beckoned Dusty to come follow him. Risto wrinkled his nose. Why in Rwer's name did I pick him? As Dusty made his way towards him, he casually stuck a claw into the ground.
"What's up?" Dusty asked, slipping in beside him. His tone seemed unusually quiet and gentle, and Risto tipped his head to one side.
"Oh, nothing," he murmured. "I just feel like hunting right now."
"But Teegan and I just hunted," Dusty pointed out, rubbing his nose with a paw. "But I'll come with you anyway. My legs could use a good run."
Risto stiffened with surprise, but he turned and vanished into the grass, not bothering to tell anyone else where the two were going. He glanced back to see Dusty following him, so he headed deeper into the grass for more prey.
Moments later, Risto shook a dead mouse by its tail, before dropping it to the ground. The prey here wasn't as plentiful as he thought it would be, and he kicked the mouse into the dirt. His head turned as the ferns rustled and Dusty popped out with a rabbit hanging in his jaws.
"There." He muttered, carelessly thrusting the rabbit to the ground. "Hope this is enough." He stopped, and picked it up again by the scuff. "We might as well get back to the group. I don't feel safe here."
Risto muttered an agreement as he picked up the mouse and headed back towards the group. He sheathed his claws as he approached them, not forgetting to glare at Vicci and Xizon. "Back." He announced a little softly, nosing back into the museum to deposit his prey into the pile.
