Risto jerked his head up as his sensitive ears woke him up. Muttering crossly, he stretched and padded over to the pile, uninterested in the kill. Pawsteps pattered over the ground as Risto turned to see Gavroche sprinting over to Dusty and Micah. For some reason, Risto felt something new inside of him, but he quickly pushed it away. He didn't want to feel something new right now. As he watched the three, his eyes widened as he noticed Gavroche sloppily munching on the rabbit. He wasn't sure if Dusty allowed the pup to eat the carcass, but he doubted that the tan male did. Dusty had took the rabbit for Micah--Risto saw the act with his own eyes.
He was surprised when he found himself marching over to the pup with rage flaring in his eyes. "Uncivilized swine!" Risto spat, snatching the carcass with his paw away from Gavroche. "That was for Micah!"
"Oh, um..."
Risto twisted his neck so that he could see Dusty staring wide-eyed at both the feline and the pup.
"Let me handle this, Risto." Dusty ordered, softly nudging Risto away. "Erm, you don't really need to go overboard with some piece of prey...I could always hunt for it. And Gavroche, Risto was right--the meat was for Micah." Dusty shrugged and turned to Micah. "Sorry about that," he apologized, as if it were his fault.
Risto lashed his tail and stared triumphantly at Gavroche. "Jerk." He muttered, stalking away into the directed of his herb store. He paused to glance at Teegan, wondered if she was the one who encouraged Gavroche to do that. But he couldn't accuse her if he didn't have the facts right, so he flopped down, closing one eye and using the opened one to glare at the pup.
