Strays of the Ruins. (Stray dog/cat RP, open & accepting)

"Pff, come on, I'm making this up as I go," Flak huffed with a smirk, leaping up just in time to avoid being swatted by one of the beast's enormous paws. As soon as his paws hit the concrete, he immediately sprang off again, leaping onto the creature's lumpy, abnormally muscular back. "Okay, when it raises its head-" Flak's sentence was cut off by the beast's furious snarling as it reared up trying to shake him from its back. "-you go for the throat," he finished, clinging tight to it with his forepaws. As the creature's fore paws returned to the ground, Flak stammered up and crept forward a few steps, his legs splayed to keep his balance on its uneven back. Now aligned where he wanted to be, he shot his head forward and locked his jaws around on of the beast's tiny ears. Jerking his head up, he pulled its head back, leaving its upper throat vulnerable for attack. The creature's black blood began trickling down the side of its face as it roared, furiously trying to free itself from Flak's grip on its odd small ear.

Teegan chuckled at what Flak said as the beast thrashed around Flak had to jump out the way to avoid its huge paw, so did she as it came around. She nodded at Flaks instructions as she lowered herself down slightly her shoulders were up. She bared her teeth and began to snarl as Flak launched himself at the beast, grabbing onto its ear as black blood dripped down its face. Her brows raised as she gave it a look of disgust then shaking her head getting ready for the plan. Flak gripped onto its large ear and pulled its head up leaving its throat as an easy attack. She knew the time was write and extended her legs leaping off her paws and towards the beast, her mouth opened wide as she gripped onto its throat. Being whipped around as the beast struggled to get the two smaller canines off.

As his plan unfolded as he suspected, Flak released his grip on the ear, leaving it tattered. Adjustingneck himself and wobbling a bit as the beast reared up after Teegan's attack, he latched onto the vulnerable part of the pack of its neck, clenching down with his incisors. He winced at the bitter taste of the creature's blood as it began to flow into his mouth, but cling on. Both canine's bite force on the beast's neck slowly began to cut off its air supply. It let out some coughs, gurgling from the blood flowing in its throat. As the two dogs continued their tightening choke hold, the mutant dropped a bit, gasping for air. After a few more minutes of the vicious, crushing holds on its windpipe, it let out one last wheezy growl then fell limp on the concrete.

Teegan gripped on as the beast thrashed around slightly lifting her from the ground time to time, but this just made her bite harder and more painful for the mutant. The mutated canine let out many snarls and squeals as the two attacked. Flak jumped down leaving the beasts ear in tats as he latched onto its neck with Teegan. The powerful bite from both canines cause the beast to squeal as it thrashed around, the two canines gripped on. Its black blood began to fill up in the fae's mouth as she felt sick, but she had to put up with it in order to keep her grip on the beast. Several minutes later the beast let out its last breath of air and dropped to the ground with a loud thud. Teegan stood at the beast for a few minutes prodding it with her nose and biting it, it lay motionless. She let out a snarl and spat the blood on the ground as she shook her pelt, returning back to her normal stance. She turned to Flak and nodded "Good job" she smiled as she looked down at the mutants carcass. She turned as dust/rubble flicked from underneath her pads and onto the mutants body, she trotted over to a small puddle of water as she took a few mouthfuls making sure there was enough for Flak, if he intended on getting any. She turned her vies back to the brute and walked towards him sitting slightly beside him in front of the beast.

 Flak stood stiff, keeping his grip on the mutant's neck minutes after it had collapsed. Letting out a huff, he slowly loosened his hold and raised his head, panting. His white-furred throat and chest were splattered with the black blood of the mutant and a few cuts of his own. He nodded and cracked a half smile at Teegan after her remark, then leaped down off of the mutant's back and to the concrete. His tongue lolled out of his mouth in disgust at the taste of the creature's blood. Trotting over to the puddle, he lapped up the remaining liquid to cleanse his pallet. Satisfied, he shook out his thick fur, sending a cloud of dust that had accumulated in it from the battle floating skyward. "We'd best get out of here. This was a wolf. And wolves usually travel in packs." He spoke quietly, staring at the downed monster as Teegan approached beside him.

Teegans tongue lolled out her mouth as she took deep breaths trying to get her breath back, she looked at the mutant in disgust her head was slightly tilted. She heard movement and sharply turned her head but it was only Flak padding over the the puddle, then arriving back at her side "We'd best get out of here. This was a wolf. And wolves usually travel in packs." he whispered as she looked at the canine for a few seconds and realizing it actually was a wolf. She nodded at Flak "Well lets go" she whispered then adding "Lead the way" as she waited for the brute to lead them to their new destination, her ears were perked and she was on guard in case any of the wolves pack mates had followed it, but this time it would be in greater numbers and the canines wouldn't have a chance unless they came up with a good enough plan to trick the beasts or to even escape them without being killed.

Flak gave a subtle nod and moved around the backside of the downed creature, trotting out of the gaping entrance to the cave-like building. Outside, it wasn't much easier to see than it was inside the ruins, it being still night time. The moon rarely was able to shine through the ash and dust that had polluted the sky since the war, and the crumbled streets were dark. Flak paused for a moment and glanced around, though he couldn't see very far in the distance, the shuffling and rumbling of the mutant's pack mates was clearly audible. "Stay close, and quiet." He whispered over his shoulder to Teegan as he slowly began padding across the dark street. From what his ears could tell, the mutants were a good distance away, but it was still best to be as quiet as possible. Finally, he trotted into an alley way. The building on the right of the alley was tilting at the top, making contact with the building to the left overhead to form a sort of a crumbling rooftop. "This way," he whispered again, gesturing with his head. He led the fae to the back of the alley where it dead ended. There was a much smaller hole that was ripped in the side of the left building. He motioned with his head for her to follow and crawled into the tight space, which led to a much more confined space inside the bottom floor of the ruin building.

Teegan followed Flak as they began to move, she extended her legs and jumped over the mutants carcass, kicking dust at it as she hopped through the whole in the wall. Her ears perked and she peered around as they walked down the street, her head raised to try and see the stars and the moon but nothing. Because of the war and all the pollution you couldn't see into the sky because of a large ash cloud, you would be lucky to see a slight light shining through. She blinked her eyes a few times it wasn't easy seeing outside as it was night, you had more chance of seeing something the in ruins. Her ears perked at the sound of noises in the distance and rubble crumbled a small, quiet snarl rumbled up her throat and escaped her maw. The faes head sharply turned as she looked at Flak "Stay close, and quite" she brute whispered looking over his shoulder, Teegan nodded not speaking her voice was quite loud and if she did speak it may attract unwanted attention. Flak lead her down a dark alley where it had a dead ending, two buildings were leaning over and touching each other at the roof, buts of rubble and dust fell from the tops of the buildings landing on her pelt. Shaking to get it off her pelt. Flak moved his head into a forward movement showing the female where to go, she nodded once again and followed the brute into the dark building. This one being a lot smaller and there was less chance one of those huge mutants would fit in here.

Flak sneezed some dust from his nostrils as they stood inside the ruins. Shooting one more surveilant glance at what he could see around them inside the damp building, soon dubbing it safe enough for the night. "We can stay here 'til morning. No doubt it'll be safer than the other place." He said aloud, his voice once again echoing on the concrete walls. His black fur blended in well with the dark background, the only thing that could give him away was his white chest fur. Giving his head a quick shake, he slowly padded over to a table which was still standing, careful to pick his paws up high with each step to avoid knocking a piece of rubble that could give them away. Ducking his head, he crawled under the table and lay down, wiping some of the blood from one of his cuts away from his eye with the back of his forepaw.

She slightly lowered her body as she crawled through the small hole, a small pile of rubble lay in front of her as she toppled over gasping. "We can stay here 'til morning. No doubt it'll be safer than the other place." she heard Flak say as she lifted to her paws shaking rubble and dust from her pelt, she peered around to see him crawl under a table as she nodded "Yeah that's what i was thinking" she slightly smiled. The darkness prevented her from seeing as good as normal, but since she had good vision she could see certain parts of the building. She let out a sight as she plopped herself down against a wall drifting off. Water began to drop from the roof as she jumped up looking around letting out a snarl. She looked up and realized she was laying under a water pipe. Letting out a sigh she lifted to her paws and lay against a pile of rubble in the middle of the room as her eyes slowly shut and she drifted off into a light sleep staying on guard in case any mutants managed to get in.
